MINERVA COLLECTOR
Collector privacy policy.
Minerva Collector is a Chrome extension that lets invited Minerva users save images from the web into their Minerva workspace. It is operated by Milk and Honey Strategy LLC and requires a Minerva account. This policy describes exactly what the extension accesses, what it sends, and what stays on your device.
1. What the Collector does
The Collector has a single purpose: saving an image you choose into your Minerva library. You start a save in one of four ways, by right-clicking on or near an image and choosing Save to Minerva, by clicking the hover button on an image, by Alt-clicking an image, or by dragging an image, including an image file from your computer, onto the save panel. Nothing is captured unless you start a save.
2. What it sends when you save
When you save an image, the extension sends the following to your Minerva workspace at workspace.mnerva.app:
- The image you selected.
- The address (URL) and title of the page you saved it from.
- The model, category, and optional folder you chose for it.
- If you create a new folder from the save panel, the folder name you type.
The extension also fetches a list of your recent saves from your workspace to show them in its popup. Everything here goes only to your Minerva workspace, so your images land in the right place in your library, governed by the main Minerva privacy policy.
3. Sign-in and cookies
The Collector uses your existing Minerva sign-in session to authorize saves. It sends your Minerva session cookie only to workspace.mnerva.app. It does not read or send cookies from any other website, and it never sends your Minerva cookie to the sites you save images from.
4. Stored on your device
The extension keeps a small amount of data in your browser: your default model and category, whether the Collector is switched on, and a cached copy of your sign-in status. It also receives your name, email, and assigned models from Minerva to show that you are connected and to fill in the save panel. This stays on your device and is not sold or shared.
5. What it does not do
- It does not run analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers.
- It does not sell your data.
- It does not read or transmit page text, form entries on the sites you visit, keystrokes, passwords, or your browsing history. It reads a page only to locate the image you chose to save.
- It does not act on any page unless you start a save.
6. Permissions and why
- Right-click menu. Adds the Save to Minerva option to your menu.
- Storage. Remembers your defaults and the on or off setting, and caches your sign-in status.
- Active tab and scripting. Let the Collector read the page you are on so it can find the image you chose.
- Cookies. Sends your existing Minerva session cookie to workspace.mnerva.app so your saves are authorized. It is not used on any other site.
- Site access. Because you can save an image from any website, the Collector needs permission to run on the sites you visit. It acts only when you start a save. Pinterest is included so it can retrieve the full-resolution image.
7. Where your data goes
The extension connects to two kinds of destination: your Minerva workspace (workspace.mnerva.app) for sign-in and saving, and the website you are saving an image from, in order to fetch that image. For Pinterest, that means retrieving the image from Pinterest's image servers. No other destinations are contacted.
8. Data retention
Images you save live in your Minerva workspace and follow the retention terms in the main Minerva privacy policy. The preferences stored on your device remain until you remove the extension or clear them.
9. Limited use
Our handling of the information the Collector accesses follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use that information only to provide the save-to-library feature. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to operate the feature, meaning your Minerva workspace and the service providers listed in our main privacy policy, or where required by law.
10. Age
Minerva is not directed at anyone under 18, and the Collector is intended only for invited Minerva users.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the extension changes. The current version is always published here, with the date below.
12. Contact
